The Ollie




Now you have mastered most of all the basic tricks to skateboarding. Now its time to learn the most important trick in skateboarding , which is also the foundation to skateboard tricks.

When you're first starting to learn how to ollie it's best to learn it stationary. Get on your board and place one foot on the tail and the other foot just in front of the screws on the front. You're going to want to get a good grip, then you want to bend your legs. While still standing on the board slam the tail end of the board down and with in a split second you're going to want to slide your front foot forward. If your performed it right you should have launched the board into the air with you on it.

Now when coming down for the landing you're going to want to land with your feet on the screws. If you land with both feet in the middle you risk not only falling but breaking your board in half. This trick which is very simple to do will take some time to get the hang of. I cannot stress this enough skateboarding is not something you will learn over night, and even a trick as simple as the ollie could take you days or even weeks to perform correctly. You want to master this trick before you go on trying any other trick, and that is mainly because every trick consists on the same motion.
